Huurcommissie Rent check dependent living space for tenants and landlords

Outdoor spaces

This section concerns spaces outside the accommodation, such as a balcony or garden, which the tenant is permitted to use. This can include spaces for personal use, but also spaces that are shared with other household members or even people living at a different address, such as a shared garden or shared parking space.

Select an outdoor space

Which outdoor spaces are available for personal or shared use? Please list all of them one by one.

Shared with another address

Select the correct space and enter the surface area in m2.

In case of spaces that are shared with tenants at a different address, indicate the number of addresses the space is shared with. Make sure to provide the number of addresses, not the number of tenants.
The tenant should be included in this number. If the tenant has joint access with one neighbouring address, then the number of addresses is ‘two’.

Parking spaces and bike sheds

Please specify here whether there are any parking spaces or shared bike sheds.

How do I add a parking space?

In case of a designated parking space, where only the tenant is allowed to park, write ‘1/1’.
In the absence of a designated space, count the number of parking spaces and divide it by the number of addresses that can use them. For example: 10 parking spaces, 50 addresses.

NB: If you have a separate contract for your parking space, or you pay for it separately, then no points can be awarded here and the space cannot be included in the Rent Check.

If there is a driveway where you can park your car, please include it under ‘outdoor spaces’. An indoor parking garage should be included under ‘indoor spaces’.
